Fairytale, really?
but it was never meant to be a fairytale. life's not perfect, life has its ups and its downs. what we have is more than a perfect story. we have a lifestory.

in life there's sure to be sorrow and disappointments. but its the darkness that makes the moon and stars shine brighter. and we know that through it all, we can trust that God's there for us. lighting up our life paths even at its darkest hours. bringing us unfathomable joy.
because He himself is Hope.

okay, so wrong was i. :X okay stuff i learnt from camp:
1) there's no such thing as 100%, alright. well, since God is love (1 John 4:8), if God is within me, i should love all the time! but. i cant love perfectly.

anyway, i was reading 1 John 4:7-19 for QT and well, verse 12 stood out. "No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us." see? :D we can love perfectly cause well, only God can do that (Agape Love). but since we are created in His image, we should have an inner desire to love them! (no matter how difficult it is.) and when we do that, God will be present here with us. so yeah. we must become more and more like Christ (Galations 5:22-26) :D anyway, i'll just keep loving all the time not perfectly but to the best I can. so 100% of the time. but only God can love you 100%, 100% of the time. okay, am i making sense? hahaha.

2) worship is amazing. through serving others, guiding others (pointing out to others the only Way - GOD), having fun, leading the people, communing with God. i learnt that no matter how simple the song, you still can praise God with it. cause sometimes, i'm just alone and this song will come into my head and i'll start humming. as i go over the lyrics in my head (thank God i pick up lyrics fast) then i'll reaffirm every single line of it. (:

3) many people wonder what they want to be: doctor? teacher? counsellor? but. as God's children, shouldnt the first aspiration of ours be to serve God full-time in His ministry before thinking about other jobs? it really struck me that we're still not fully in tuned into being children of God. but nevermind, we still are. (John 1:12) (: so amazing.

4) many people are hurting (cause of family, friends and basically, people hurting each other.) and hurting people hurt. so yeah the hurt just goes in a cycle. but well, when Jesus died on the cross. all those hurts, suffering and diseases were all crucified on the cross with Him. our sins' penalty have been paid up so we are free. all we have to do is to confess we need Him and believe what He did for us. and He'll take it all away. i made the cutest prayer ever. (Dear God, please let the tears stop falling. LOL.) so funny okay. it worked anyway, but the next day, the person i was praying for, asked me why he/she not crying. and said he/she wanted to cry now. LOL. what the cow. so funny. anyway, the only way to end the hurts would be to turn back to God and lay it all down at the cross. (its a song btw) anyway, i want Christ to heal His beloved people through me!

5) intimate time with God is important. meditating on His word (Psalms 1:1-2) yep, put things right janice. do your QT!!! haha and memorise your memory verses! you practically forgot half of them. :X

6) fire must be ignited and when it does, it burns FULL FLAME. but after a while... well, it kinda goes smaller and smaller. so you must keep pouring more oil. so yeah, must keep refilling cause once you burn out, it has to be relighted again! as they always say, prevention is better than cure. :D "flame on!" hahaha.

7) prayers are so powerful. over these past 4 days, SO many prayers were answered. small as they were, they did not go unnoticed or unanswered. anyway, romans 8:32. "He who did not spare His own Son but gave him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?" awesome promise eh? :D anyway, on the second day, it was sentosa day. on the bus, it was raining already. it started just as we entered sentosa. and it was dark and cloudy and all. then i (along with a few others i'm sure) prayed in my heart that the rain will go away. and the clouds will all be blown off. whoa, and in five minutes. haha azure blue skies. so pretty!!! the rest of the day! hahaha, then it rained at night. the third day night, we were bbqing. as we were setting up the fire, it drizzled, going to rain. GG! haha, but prayed again. and later on, the fire started and the rain stopped. :D amazing eh! hahaha. and yesterday i went to ECP and it was nearly drizzling and. yeah as you can guess. it didnt rain! so awesome! hahaha. (: and we all prayed for pohhui. and now she's our sister-in-Christ. (: i'm really so glad for her.

8) oh and i finally realised. matt 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I in the midst of them." because a group of people meet and they love each other with God's love, God is present! God is love! so He's present! haha, wow. so awesome.

all in all, i'm really really glad i went for the trip. it was really a learning experience and refreshing too! (: awesomeeeeeee. hahaha.
